If you've tried everything and nothing helps, maybe you just need a fresh start too. Puedes jugar como quieras empieza por una clula y cra una especie desde organismo rudimental de marisma a viajador intergalctico, o empieza en el medio y. Cada etapa est caracterizada por sus propios estilos, retos, y objetivos. So it turns out my problem was that my game data files were too big to load - Spore couldn't handle it. Juega a lo largo de las cinco etapas evolutivas de Spore: Clula, Criatura, Tribu, Civilizacin, y Espacio. Kinda sucks to lose years of creation, but also kinda fun to start fresh again. So this time when I reinstalled, I (reluctantly) deleted all my game data. I'd been playing Spore for years and had maybe around 20 different civilizations. But it dawned on me what might be the problem. It was over 300megs and still ticking up when I stopped it. Long story short, I let it load for over 4 hours - to no avail. So I figured there was nothing left to do except let it load. Even when I changed the priority and affinity to high. From there it would load only in painfully small increments of 8 or 12 bits a second. and I noticed that it was indeed loading, but every time it hit 135megs, it would stop. So I turned on the task manager while it was loading to see what it was doing. I tried changing the config to make all the settings LOW quality, but I still got the black screen of death. I tried adding-safe and -w to the shortcut target. Like most other people with this problem, I combed the forums across the internet and tried all the different ideas to try to fix the problem, but nothing worked. Installoc would point to the aforementioned Spore folder and then you'd create two 32 bit word values by going to Edit then New.Just wanted to add the solution the worked for me. If a file I mention isn't there then simply create it.Įssentially DataDir should point to your Data folder within Spore. Now you should see some string values, some will be missing while others will be pointing to the wrong file path. Wow6432Node (it may look different on a 32 bit machine). You must first go to your registry by looking for Regedit and running it as admin It can't find the files because the directions telling the game where to find the files are wrong, so we need to fix those directions and everything will be fine. In layman's terms basically the game is trying to look for the files it needs in order to run in Folder A but Folder A does not exist therefore it throws an error. To fix this, you need to enter the registry strings below to keep the right file path. This is due to registry keys being deleted at every launch. The data directory is missing or corrupt. When launching Spore on Windows Vista, 7 or 8, it is common for it to crash and give the error 'Configuration Script Failed ' followed by 'Could not find a needed package. So far it has been tested under Windows vista 32 and 64, Windows 7 32 and 64, and Windows 8 - I believe it was 64. If you dont know if you have 32 bit or 64 bit, my program figures it out for you. Originally posted by LordLeeCH:The part that everyone is missing is this if you have 32 bit windows the path is DIFFERENT than 64 bit windows. I have Windows 8 and it works perfectly for me.Īlso if the file doesn't work for you or is dead just shoot me a PM or comment here or on my profile and I'll get it fixed asap Now you can try the game, if it still gives an error then move on to the other method. It should say what version you have 32/64 bit then close, it doesn't take longer than a couple seconds. You need to extract it to your desktop then run it as admin by right clicking, if you don't see an option for that then right click on the file and go toĬheck the box hit apply then ok then run the program. Virus Total Scan [So download that file, I have people that can also vouch it isn't a virus. Here are two virus scans to ease any worry you have about this not being legit. This is an automated fix and works 90% of the time if you have the default Steam instalation path-Ī now friend of mine and good guy LordLeeCH threw together this small program that adds all the needed missing files from Spore, essentially fixing the 20 errors.
